The Internet of Things Community (IoT Community), the world’s largest community of CxOs and IoT professionals and practitioners, announced entegra technologies inc. as a Silver Corporate Member of the IoT Community, joining other core IoT stakeholder members in advancing the evolution and uptake, while overcoming barriers to entry across the IoT ecosystem.

In addition, entegra’s CEO, Nancy Shemwell, has joined the IoT Community Advisory Board, joining IoT luminaries from across the IoT ecosystem. Shemwell will also deliver a keynote address at the IoT Community's Second Annual IoT Slam Live event taking place June 21-22 in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA and broadcast virtually.

Shemwell’s keynote titled, “When the IoT Attacks”, looks at when the world exploits the value of large scale interconnectivity causing the number of entry point and possible exploitation by hackers to grow exponentially. She will attest that securing these connections is becoming of paramount importance.

The keynote will describe the nature of the threat and methods for preventing the entry of hackers into the network; concentrating on a hardware centric solution to protecting connections that has been, so far, unbreakable in field deployments providing a robust solution for mission critical networks.

entegra technologies is a cybersecurity technology and managed services company, with a focus on protecting industrial control systems from increasing cyber-attacks. The rapid expansion of IoT presents a security challenge of unique proportion, and maintaining security in the IoT will be essential for the IoT to meet its potential.
