STREAMCLOUD brings High Compute Data Centre to Sawantwadi

Streamcloud’s new Data Centre will mark the company’s first data centre in India

Streamcast Group, a leading private IP cloud operator, announced its plans to launch a high compute date centre in Sawantwadi, Maharashtra, through its cloud computing business, Streamcloud. Spread across 12 acres of land, Streamcloud’s new Data Centre will mark the company’s first data centre in India with an investment of over INR 2200+ crore over the next four-five years.

Laying the foundation of Streamcloud’s first Data Centre in India, Streamcast Group held a ground-breaking ceremony in presence of Minister Deepak Kesarkar as the Chief Guest of the occasion along with Vinayak Raut, Member of Parliament for Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg Constituency, and Nimish Pandya, Chairperson, Streamcast Group.

Deepak Kesarkar, Minister of State for Home (rural) Planning, Finance and Guardian minister of Sindhudurg, said: “Sindhudurg is a haven of natural beauty. It is bestowed with environmental treasure and it has always been our endeavour to protect and nurture it and at the same time, make it known on the global map. Welcoming sectors such as IT and Engineering to Sindhudurg, we are welcoming non-polluting yet futuristic industries to Sindhudurg. Today, with Streamcloud, it is a beginning of this future.

And with Streamcast’s philosophy of benefiting the entire community, the launch of SAI Centre of IT Excellence will give the youth of Sindhudurg an opportunity to train in all facets of hardware and software development, empowering them to work anywhere in this global landscape."
