SHI International awarded multi-state NASPO ValuePoint cloud solutions contract

The master agreement was won after a lengthy and rigorous evaluation by the State of Utah lead sourcing team

SHI International Corp., one of North America’s top 15 largest IT solutions providers, was recently awarded a NASPO ValuePoint—Cloud Solutions master agreement, which allows the company to offer Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and value-added services to state and local public sector organizations across potentially every state in the U.S.

The master agreement was won after a lengthy and rigorous evaluation by the State of Utah lead sourcing team,  including a 175-page proposal outlining SHI’s capabilities and ability to meet the cloud needs of customers across the country.

After being scored by six state procurement officials, SHI was one of 20 providers awarded in all three major cloud categories. SHI has the extensive resources and partnerships needed to best fulfill the technology needs of the public sector.

Due to this lengthy evaluation and bid process, SHI has proven its pricing and services meet the procurement requirements of the public sector, allowing state and local governments and other public entities with an approved participating addendum to skip the bid process typically associated with cloud service procurement.

This will make it easier for organizations to purchase cloud products while ensuring they receive value and security in their purchases.

“SHI consistently meets the needs of our public sector customers by combining both technical and IT procurement expertise with the largest portfolio of products, solutions, and supporting services,” said Thai Lee, president and CEO of SHI International Corp.

“Being named to the NASPO ValuePoint contract allows our customers to streamline cloud deployment and support by utilizing a proven and multi-state approved contract vehicle. Combining our strong relationships with best-in-class partners, our goal is to make SHI the new go-to partner for supporting cloud computing among public officials.”

Under the contract, SHI is able to provide solutions from all manufacturers of cloud software, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and beyond.
