Robi Axiata Ltd, the second largest mobile network operator in Bangladesh, is celebrating its first anniversary of the successful deployment of managed services from 365squared, an international value-added services provider specializing in Application-to-Person (A2P) SMS revenue assurance and managed solutions.

Robi has received new A2P SMS revenue streams following the deployment of 365squared’s A2P SMS monetization services. As a result of last year’s deployment, the operator has also experienced substantial reduction in spam.

Robi’s VP, Communication and Corporate Responsibility, Ekram Kabir, said: “We are very happy to see the results of the deployment of 365squared’s A2P SMS monetization services in our network. With the customers’ increasing adoption of internet and digital services in the market, the drastic reduction in the number of spam certainly helps us to strengthen our credential as a leading digital company thanks to 365squared."

Robi, with 36.2 million active subscribers, has introduced many first of its kind digital services in Bangladesh and has invested heavily in taking mobile financial services to the underserved communities in the rural and semi-urban areas. The operator deployed the services of 365squared to bring confidence to the Bangladesh market.

The solution by 365squared, which is part of a five-year contract, is also deployed on the domestic links to ensure that grey routes, also known as ‘bypass fraud’, are eliminated on a 24/7 basis by 365squared’s Service Management Centre.
