Pinnaca intros Superstructure of Things whitepaper

It outlines how Pinnaca has engineered a powerful cloud engine to automate the Unified Communication and Collaboration (UC&C) landscape

Pinnaca, a leading provider of managed video conferencing, telepresence and visual collaboration services, has launched a new whitepaper, titled “Superstructure of Things” which outlines how Pinnaca has engineered a powerful cloud engine to automate the Unified Communication and Collaboration (UC&C) landscape.

Taken from the term Internet of Things (IoT), Pinnaca coined the phrase, “Pinnaca Superstructure of Things” (PSoT) to describe an overarching architecture. PSoT encircles many systems for common control and monitoring, ubiquitous portal access regardless of the underlying infrastructure, universal reporting irrespective of the platform, and much more.

The superstructure floats above the infrastructure, separating the consumer and the services, concealing the systems and complexities beneath.

“PSoT can be described as the umbrella superstructure that wraps around various manufacturer’s technologies,” explains Pinnaca CTO, Dan Tanel.

“It is also the centre of the UC&C universe, connecting disparate systems. From a design perspective, this glue is used as a communication point between systems for control, auditing, monitoring, and information flow, creating a translation system so different technologies can talk to one another. It is a universal translator between separate systems that do not communicate in the same language.”

“Pinnaca understands the science of communication and collaboration, helping companies focus on their core competency,” says Pinnaca CEO, Clive Sawkins.

“Communication and collaboration is at the core of every society.  And innovating UC&C is at the core of Pinnaca.  That’s why we’re a trusted adviser and provider to many of the world’s largest companies.”
