IoT Market Award
Cisco has been named as the winner of Ovum’s IoT Market Award which goes to the company that has played a major role in the development of industrialized IoT across the entire market. Cisco’s technology – network connectivity, security, data analytics, embedded networks, etc. – enables organizations to create new revenue opportunities and lower operational costs by managing their connected devices.

“One of the most significant challenges organizations face is justifying IoT initiatives and Cisco has been very forthright in showing how IoT generates positive business outcomes,” state John Madden, Ovum’s Practice Leader for IT Services. “It is our pleasure to present this award to Cisco in appreciation of what they have done to move the IoT industry forward.”

Consumer IoT Award

Samsung has committed to having every device they sell connected to the internet: smartphones, tablets, wearables VR, televisions, home theatre, washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc.

“It is safe to say that IoT is in Samsung’s DNA and that connectivity is top of mind in their product design,” stated Ronan de Renesse, Ovum’s Practice Leader for Consumer Technology.

“With its broad product portfolio, Samsung is well positioned to provide consumers with a seamless customer experience when interacting with their connected devices.”
