Now, Oracle to buy Accenture?

If true, this could well be the largest global deal of its kind.

If reports are to be believed by The Register, Oracle is said to have hired a team of global specialists to 'explore the feasibility of buying multi-billion dollar consultancy firm, Accenture.'

According to The Register, Oracle is said to have engaged a team of consultants "to conduct due diligence to explore synergies that could be created if they (Oracle) bought Accenture lock, stock and barrel".

This seems to be an era of mergers and acquisitions for global technology companies, close on the heels of the recent Dell-EMC and Siemens-Mentor Graphics M&A.

If true, this could well be the largest global deal of its kind.

Both, Oracle and Accenture, were not available for comments.
