Lux Rao has joined Dimension Data has the Director & Head of Solutions based in Bangalore.

As the leader for Solutions business, Lux is responsible for devising the strategy & game-plan and leads the charge for Dimension Data’s foray in digitally enabling organizations across sectors & industries thereby adding impetus to the Digital Transformation & Solutions Business at Dimension Data. His mandate includes building out innovative business outcomes’ based solutions incorporating the best of breed technology layers from multifarious technology vendors.

Prior to joining Dimension Data, Lux was heading the Digital Transformation Office at Cisco. Lux and his team were responsible for driving the Digital Transformation (DT) agenda for Cisco.

Before joining Cisco, Lux was the CTO for Enterprise Business and leader for HPE Future Cities’ initiatives and has had stints at Jamcracker, IBM, Canon & Xerox in a career spanning over two and a half decades in multifarious roles.

Lux is a regular speaker at technology conferences in India & Abroad and has chaired/moderated several conferences. He has been awarded the prestigious IDC Award for Innovation Excellence and best CTO –by Tech Plus Media. He has also won the coveted “Technology Evangelist for the Year” - an Industry recognition for three years in a row.

Lux is an Electronics & Communication Engineer from Bangalore University, a PG in System Analysis & Design and an MBA specializing in Marketing & Finance from Manipal University.

He is a Technology adviser across several start up communities including T-Hub, Nasscom 10K Start-ups and is a part of the Nasscom Task force for Digital Transformation. He is also the co-chairman for FICCI committee on Smart Cities and is on the Technology Advisory board for IET, Factory of the Future, Industry 4.0, Geo-Spatial IoT & AI and several other organizations.
