With the theme “Build a Better Future,” MWC 2018 will showcase developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, digital transformation, IoT and 5G, with plenty of solutions and technologies being demoed.

However, according to Strategy Analytics, more important than any technology-based solution is how they can be deployed to address fundamental business challenges which include improvements in efficiencies, delivering superior customer experience, and strategic opportunities for revenue growth. Away from the show floor these business issues will be the focus of the educational programs that MWC offers.

Susan Welsh de Grimaldo, director, Service Provider Strategies, at Strategy Analytics, comments: “For me, the real benefit of MWC is sparking conversations so that we all come away with ideas to work on and new connections for collaboration. How do you evolve mobile services to offer more personalization and strong value propositions for consumers while building profitability for service providers so they can continue to invest in better networks?”

Nitesh Patel, director, Media Strategies, Strategy Analytics, notes: “The Future Networks and Optimization session with great panelists from Oath, Cisco, Reliance Jio, and KT will provide insight in to future consumer use-cases and innovations shaping the requirements of networks in both developed and emerging markets while meeting critical business objectives.”
