'Reliable Third-Party Logistics Players Is a Challenge in eCommerce'

In 2016, we will continue to expand our product portfolio and add designs that are distinctively UL. Last year we launched a lot of new categories and expanded our portfolio while experimenting with new materials and colors. In 2015, we also expanded geographically to new cities and reached out to a lot of new customers with television presence. We will continue expansion and reach on all these fronts. How do you see the evolution of technologies that will drive next-gen e-commerce in coming days? Innovative technology and a great digital product can drive next-gen eCommerce. Augmented reality is one such example. But good online product and problem solving with technology can change the game dramatically for a lot of e-commerce companies. What are the hurdles that will continue to stay in the online ecommerce space in India? Logistics and infrastructure has been a struggle for most e-commerce companies. A lot of players have had to build the entire structure ground up because of lack of reliable third-party logistics players. What’s new Urban Ladder is planning for the year 2016? In 2016, there will be a lot of product innovation and design thinking at Urban Ladder. We will bring out some path breaking solutions that will change the way Indian homes are furnished dramatically. We will continue to work towards our vision of making a million homes beautiful.
